Anthony Weiner has resigned

After several weeks of the „Twitter” sex scandal, Representative Anthony Weiner took the colleagues and the President Barack Obama’s advise and resigned. He apologized all the people that he hurt, especially his wife, Huma, a close assistant of Hilary Clinton’s team that is pregnant, according to the rumors. More, he said to his friends that he is regretting everything that happened and he apologized also for the embarrassment that all his neighbors got through. The journalists had speculated over his resignation, specially that close friend of Weiner told them that he is in a lot of pressure from everybody, the Democratic colleagues and the President Obama himself. More, his party scheduled already today an appointment when the main subject was the Anthony Weiner faith in the party. More, this is not the single pressure of his colleagues.

They asked an investigation of the 14 years of job in the U.S House of Representative in order to see if he had an inappropriate conduct over those years too. They said Weiner that they will stop the investigation if he resigns. The „Twitter” scandal, as the journalists called it started when a picture with Weiner in an sexy hypostasis that he sent to a women on the Internet was made public. At that time, Weiner said that someone broke into his Twitter account and published that, and not him. After several pictures of Weiner in the same hypostases were made public, he made a press conference and admitted with tears in his eyes that indeed he is the one from the images and he is sorry that he didn’t admitted that on the first place. At that time, he made it very clear that he will not resign.

As time passed, images with him in the towel or in the gym were the Internet’s attraction and this is when he said, through his spokesman that he is waiting for him wife to come into the country and after that there will be a decision regarding the resignation. At the Tuesday press conference, from the same place that he spoke the people 20 years ago, he said that he regrets not to be able to continue the plans that he had for the middle class. He added that the „distraction” that he provoked is the one responsible for the impossibility to continue his politic plans and this is why he will resign. At this statement, Weiner was alone, without his wife. The journalists said that Huma is very humiliated about the sex scandal and this is why she didn’t made any public statements since the scandal begun.
