U.S intensifies its military operations in Yemen

The Obama Administration intensified its secret military operations in Yemen in its efforts to counteract the drone militants and the hunting airplanes. The acceleration on the military efforts from Yemen from the last weeks comes after the violence from this country intensified and the Sanaa Government, a strong ally to the United States, was strongly attacked, according to a New York Times report. The Yemen troupes that were fighting to the al-Qaeda militants in the south part of the country were retired through the capital and the American officials thinks that the raid is one of the fewest options that they have at the moment for stopping the terrorists to consolidate their power. On Friday, the American airplanes killed a medium level agent of al-Qaeda, Abu Ali al-Harithi, along with other suspects in the south part of the country. Weeks earlier, several drones tried to eliminate an American radical cleric figure, Anwar al-Awlaki that was evolved into several attempts of attacks on the United States.

Awlaki survived the attack though. The recent operations come after a month pause period of the American raids, after the strong concerns about the death of the civilians and several failed missions. The Washington officials said that the spy services from the country and the Saudi ones got information lately about the hiding place of the militants. Because of the electronic interception systems and the spy service, the American officials obtained clearly clues. The start of a new ample conflict in Yemen led to a new high risk regarding the possibility that a certain group to transmit fake information to the American services. This new doubts may have repercussions of military attacks on the rival group of the militants. A high official from Pentagon said on Wednesday, without the revealing of his identity, that the force operations against the Yemen militants are very complicated because the al-Qaeda agents entered into the rebels and militants group
also.

The American operation from Yemen is conducted by the Common Commandment for Special Operation from Pentagon and is under the CIA’s coordination. In Sanaa, there are certain information cells that are gathering dates regarding the militant’s actions. The American ambassador from Yemen had a recent appointment with the opposition leaders because he is worried about the Ali Abdullah Saleh Government’s team that has strong chances to leave the power. The military operations from Yemen are some of the best well kept secrets of the Obama Administration because the fears that Saleh position could be weaker are growing.
