The end of the Fukushima nuclear crisis

The Japanese experts gave their first estimations about ending the nuclear crisis. The plant
owner told the press that they will need six month to stabilize the nuclear reactor. This is the
first time that the Japanese experts had some estimations about ending the great crisis.

The radioactivity will be restored at a normal level in three months and the plant's cooling
system will be put in normal parameters, said the Tokyo Electric Power Company's officials.
In the remaining month, the reactors will be complete shut down and around the area will be
surrounded and controlled. The Government said that the operations for decontaminating the place is in progress and they hope to eliminate the nuclear danger from a wide area.

They appeal to patience and calm and assure Japan people they will take the problems step by
step so there will no doubt about the possible danger after these month. Hiro Hasegawa, the
Tokyo Electric spokesman told the press that a lot of public pressure made them estimate an
end of the disaster. Even so, the engineers think that the dead line is reasonable and they will
do all their best in order to ensure the safety of the population.

The experts doesn't know the volume of irradiated water from the 1-3 units, but they built
a separate cooling unit that decontaminates the water before it is recirculated. In the mean
time, a pumping system is assuring 170 metric tons of water into each reactor but the leaking
volume is still contaminated with radioactive particles. The engineers measures the radiation
levels, the water temperature and the nuclear parameters from inside Fukushima power plant
helped by remote robots made by an American company.

The Fukushima catastrophe is more severe than the great nuclear disaster from Cernobyl,
from 1986. Some experts think that the irradiation level from Japan touches daily 73 percent
of the Cernobyl disaster.

On 11 of March, a tsunami was produced into the north part of Japan. It was followed by one
of the powerful earthquake. By the great impact of the waves, the reactors of the Fukushima
plant were overheated and produced two explosions. The reactors 1 and 3 relisted a great
amount of radioactive particles and the water and the breathing air was contaminated.

The people around nuclear plant were desperate and a men killed himself after the authorities
urged him to leave his house because the great nuclear danger. In the 11 March disaster there
were more than 12.000 death and around 15.000 people disappeared.
